Astana. May 5. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has reduced railroad rates by 50 % for transportation of fruit-and-vegetable products. The Minister of Industry and Commerce Vladimir Shkolnik informed today during selector government meeting, the agency reports. "Railroad rates have been decreased by 50 % for transportation of fruit-and-vegetable products from the Central Asian countries with the purpose of reduction of prices. It will help to restrain inflation on vegetables and fruit," V. Shkolnik said. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce along with Kazagromarketing Company plan carrying out international Central Asian fruit-and-vegetable forum with participation of large manufacturers and suppliers of fruit-and-vegetable products in the end of May in Almaty." The official visit of the President of Tajikistan to Kazakhstan will take place on May 12. Suppliers of fruit-and-vegetable products from Tajikistan have already arrived by our invitation." "We plan to define concrete volumes of production to be delivered to Kazakhstan at the reduced prices," V. Shkolnik said.
