Kazakhstan, Tajikistan to increase cooperation in economic sphere

Astana. May 13. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Tajikistan plan to increase cooperation in economic sphere. The leaders of two countries - Nursultan Nazarbayev and Emomali Rahmon decided during negotiations in Astana on Monday, the agency reports. "Rates of cooperation of two countries are very good and there is much potential for its escalation," E. Rahmon said. He noted that for the last two years more than 47 Tajik-Kazakhstan joint enterprises were created Tajikistan, 15 of which with participation of Kazakhstan capital. In his turn, the President of Kazakhstan noted that within last year commodity turnover between the countries grew by 55 %. "As a whole, our countries always have had mutual understanding on all discussed questions and common vision of problems," N. Nazarbayev said. "During this hard time of financial crises all over the world we, I think, once again will discuss all questions of mutual relations, the state of affairs in our region, the situation in the world and the Afghani problem. According to official data, commodity turnover between two countries, following the results of the last year, exceeded $300 million.
