Education Ministry, Cambridge University to sign cooperation agreement

Astana. May 27. Kazakhstan Today - Education and Sciences Ministry of Kazakhstan and Cambridge University will sign cooperation agreement. The arrangement was reached on Friday evening during the meeting of the representatives of the British University and the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan Zhanseyit Tuymebayev, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Education. According to the press service, during the meeting the chairman of Central-Asian Research Forum of Cambridge University Dr. Siddharth Saxena and Professor of of International Development Department S. hailaja Fennel with the Minister of Education and Sciences of Kazakhstan reached the agreement that Camridge University will put forward its candidature for the committee of the newly created in International University in Astana. According to the press service, the parties discussed an opportunity of opening of a few faculties in the new International University. During the meeting the parties reached the agreements on participation of Cambridge University in creation of scientific-educational complex - New International University in Astana, creation of Kazakhstan National Cultural center in Cambridge University, holding of joint international survey and analysis of development of science and technology in Kazakhstan, and formation of joint commission for selection of Bolashak applicants intending to study in Cambridge University. "The Ministry of Education and Sciences and Cambridge University agreed on development and signing of the agreement to legitimize all reached arrangements in the perspective directions of close cooperation," the press service informed.
