System of payment of state employees to be changed - Nazarbayev

Astana. June 17. Kazakhstan Today - System of payment of Kazakhstan public employees will be changed. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev stated today during International Scientific-Practical Conference Role of Public Service in Increase of Competitiveness of the Country, the agency reports. "The current payment system will undergo serious changes directed at refusal of compensation approach," N. Nazarbayev said. The leader of the state noted that "everyone's work will be evaluated on result-based system depending on complexity, market cost and personal contribution. According to the President, the new system of payment, a motivational package, will be developed for administrative employees of the "elite" category. "Employees of this category and the members of their families will be under special state protection," Nazarbayev specified. As it was informed earlier, the leader of the state noted necessity to precisely differentiate political and administrative public services. He suggested dividing the latter into two main categories: category A that will include responsible secretaries, chairmen of state holdings, national companies, and directors of departments of state bodies, chairmen of committees, akims of oblasts and cities, and category B that will include all other state employees.
