Industry Ministry suggests introducing tax stimulus for light industry

Astana. July 29. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan suggests introducing tax stimulus for light industry. Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Almas Kosunov, stated at the government session today, the agency reports. "The project of the new Tax Code assumes stimulus for development of light industry regarding processing sector." "These are decrease of corporate tax, simplification and reduction of terms of VAT return, and simplification of procedure of equipment import," Vice Minister explained. Vice Minister reminded that rates of customs duties on raw material and equipment for light industry necessary for industrial activity of the enterprises of light industry have been decreased. Industry Ministry along with National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan Union Atameken and Association of Light Industry have developed the project of complex activities on development of light industry. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, charged to create study group on development of light industry.
