Astana. August 5. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan invites China to participate in construction of gas pipeline Beyneu - Akbulak. Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, informed today at the selector government meeting, the agency reports. "The Ministry for Energy suggested the Peoples Republic of China to participate in this project," U. Shukeev said. He explained that "the decision to finance the project 50/50 (investors and the republican budget) has been accepted." "In any case, 50 % will be financed due to managing subjects, probably, KazMunayGas or another investor, and these 50 % will be returned due to the tariff," he explained. The extent of the gas pipeline - 1510 km, diameter - different sites - 711 mm and 1016 mm. The first stage is planned to be finished till July, 2011 that will allow transporting 5 billion cubic meters of gas to the south of Kazakhstan. The second stage of gas pipeline will be introduced in 2014 that will allow expanding of its capacity up to 10 billion cubic meters.
