Astana. September 3. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Germany plan to expand cooperation in the field of energy. The joint statement on partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany accepted today, following the results of negotiations of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the President of Germany, Horst Keller, the agency reports. "The parties plan to expand cooperation in the field of energy and recognize importance of realization of the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union on Energy Cooperation of December 4, 2006." Kazakhstan and Germany stated "that bilateral development cooperation should be continued in the future within the cooperation of Germany with the Central Asian countries." "The parties confirm their interest in strengthening cooperation in support of small and medium business."
