Inflation in Kazakhstan in annual expression not to exceed 10 % - Masimov

Almaty. September 9. Kazakhstan Today - Inflation in Kazakhstan in annual expression will not exceed 10 %. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed during the Internet-conference Strategy of the Government Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized by the press centre RosBusinessConsulting on Friday, the agency reports. "Inflation for the first 6 months of 2008 has made 5.7 %. We plan to keep inflation not higher than 10 %," K. Masimov said. Therefore, we have introduced the project of the Law on Competition. It is a primary factor of development - simplification of procedures, in particular at the regional level to ease up of doing business and have real competition instead of monopolization of markets," the Prime Minister commented on the measures on decrease of inflation. "The second question: we accept a number of system measures to lower to some extent tax burden for the companies of raw sector that deliver mineral oil and other energy resources to the domestic market as compared to what they will be doing when they will deliver to foreign markets. I am assured that complex of measures being undertaken by the government will give noticeable effect in the long-term period," the Prime Minister emphasized.
