2008 IMF mission analysed development of economic situation in Kazakhstan

Almaty. September 29. Kazakhstan Today - The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has analyzed development of the economic situation in Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Economics and Budgetary Planning. According to the Ministry of Economics and Budgetary Planning, IMF mission visited Kazakhstan on September 22 - September 26 with the objective to analyze development of the situation after carrying out of the last consultations in accordance with the article IV in April 2008. On September 23, 2008 Vice Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Galymzhan Pirmatov, held the meeting with representatives of the mission headed by Timothy Callen for consultations in accordance with the article IV the articles of IMF agreement. According to the message, on the background of crisis occurring in the world financial and raw markets the mission discussed development of the economic situation and reciprocal economic policy of Kazakhstan with the official bodies and representatives of private sector. Following the results of the meeting, the mission has prepared the final statement.
