EBRD, Samruk-Kazyna create investment fund Kazakhstan Growth Fund
Astana. December 3. Kazakhstan Today - European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Fund of National Welfare Samruk-Kazyna agreed on creation of investment fund Kazakhstan Growth Fund, the agency reports with reference to the press service of Samruk-Kazyna fund. "The EBRD President, Thomas Mirow, and the chairman of the board of Samruk-Kazyna fund, Kayrat Kelimbetov, signed the agreement on creation of the joint fund today in Astana," the press service informs. "Investment fund Kazakhstan Growth Fund will contribute to development of the private sector of the country, providing them with the necessary financial resources," the EBRD President Thomas Mirow said. According to the press service, target capitalization of the fund will reach $ 125 million. Its activity will be directed at financing of the private companies realizing investment projects in the non-raw sectors of the economy through participation in the share capital and will promote increase of standards of corporate management and transparency of small and medium business companies. Kazyna Capital Management, the affiliated company Samruk-Kazyna fund will be the shareholder (Limited Partner) of Kazakhstan Growth Fund.
