Astana. January 22. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan in 2009 will renew the contracts with subsoil users in accordance with the new Tax Code. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed at the session of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Wednesday, the agency reports. "The question of the new Tax Code which came into force since January, 1st, 2009, is of great importance. We have cancelled such concept as 'stability of contracts' that assumes that today subsoil users work not on the basis of the contract, but on the basis of the current legislation," K. Masimov explained. "In this connection, we will need to do much work on renewal of contracts according to the new Tax Code this year," he said.
