ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ A number of redundant employees at the country’s large enterprises for the reporting period will make 824. 426 employees are planned to be dismissed. Minister of Industry and Trade Vladimir Shkolnik has announced it at the Government’s telephone conference today, Kazinform reports. «The enterprises and ventures have to reduce the staff because of decline in production. At present there are 283 enterprises which have partially or fully stopped their activity. 114 148 people are working at them», the Minister informed. «42 thousand people are underemployed, 26 thousand have part-time jobs and 11 thousand people are on unpaid holidays», V. Shkolnik noted.
