Kazakhstan ratified convention on transit trade of midland states

Astana. March 20. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law on ratification of the Convention on transit trade of the midland states," the president's press service informed the agency. As it was informed earlier, joining the convention enables Kazakhstan to use freedom of navigation on equal rights with sea powers and to have an easy access to the sea that will allow realization of transit-transport potential of the Republic more widely and will promote expansion of trade in Kazakhstan. The convention regulations recognize the right of each not having access to the sea state to an easy access to the sea. The convention gives the midland states the right to free and unlimited transit so that they can freely participate in the regional and international trade. The convention was accepted in 1965. Its participants comprise 50 countries, including Belarus, Georgia, Russia, the Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
