KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Today at the National Press Club Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Engineering NC JSC Ayukhan Nogayev has informed the journalists of the results and prospects of the Company’s activity. Thus, in 2008 the Company's performance amplified by 22%. Since early this year it has gained 8% increase. “At present we are working on the issue of adopting a Program of military shipbuilding for 2010-2015 through SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund. We believe this will promote further development of this sector of Kazakhstan. The draft program is under the Government’s consideration at the moment”, A. Nogayev said. According to him, the Company has already commissioned 13 ships for patrolling Kazakhstan’s territory on the Caspian Sea. Also a passenger ship for operation on Caspain oil-and-gas offshore fields had been designed, he said. A. Nogayev also says that the Company plans to double the volume of Kazakhstan’s share in purchases in 2009.
