KAZINFORM. /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The Coalition «Oil revenues Ц under public oversight!» proposes the Government of Kazakhstan to take a number of measures to raise effectiveness of implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in the country. The NGO Coalition presented an alternative EITI Report, which covers the period from February 2008 till April 2009. The document shows how accurately Kazakhstan executes all criteria of the Initiative. Besides, the report gives evaluation of the second National Report of the Kazakh Government. The Coalition also recommends distributing information about payments and social investments of all extracting companies; publicizing conditions of subsurface use contracts; developing mechanisms of creation of awareness among the population about the companiesТ compliance with the requirements of environmental protection.
