State housing construction program for 2008-2010 developed
Astana. April 17. Kazakhstan Today - The state program on housing construction for 2008-2010 has been developed in Kazakhstan. The committee on construction and housing and communal services affairs of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Republic informed the agency. "As a result of realization of the housing program in 2008, available housing is expected to total 8.3 million square meters, in 2009 - 8.9 million, in 2010 - 9.7 million. 236 thousand families are expected to be provided with housing within these years," the committee noted. "The program provides refusal of the practice of construction of municipal housing given to citizens at the expense of municipal means. Rent houses, both at the expense of the state and private investments will be built instead," the message of the committee states. 10 thousand apartments in Astana for the workers of budgetary sphere and 10.7 thousand in the oblasts and Almaty for the workers of public health services and education will be constructed within the limits of the program.
