Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant to produce 200,000 tons of bitumen in 2010

ALMATY. 25.03.2010. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ This year the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant will produce 200,000 tons of bitumen. Director General of the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant Shukhrat Danbai has announced it at the V International Symposium on Refining, Petrochemistry and Oil Products KazRefinEx-2010. According to him, in 2009 incremental oil production in Kazakhstan made up about 6 mln tons, production of associated gas increased by 21 percent. "Total consumption of petroleum products made up 9.7 mln tons in 2009", S.Danbai said He noted that the plant pays great attention to bitumen production. "Bitumen is a social product which we need. In 2009 its consumption made up 500,000 tons. This year the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant will produce 200,000 tons of bitumen. The price will be lower than the Russian. Hence this product will be competitive, its quality meets international standards", the Director noted.
