Kazakh President took part in presentation of Kazakh-French industrial projects in Paris
ASTANA. 27.10.2010. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has taken part in the presentation of Kazakh-French industrial and innovative projects in Paris today; Kazinform refers to the Presidential press service. In particular, the French nuclear giant AREVA presented a joint project on construction of an enterprise for production of fuel assemblies at the Ulba Metallurgical Plant. ALSTOM Company demonstrated a project of the future joint venture for production of cargo and passenger mainline electric locomotives in Kazakhstan. The President was shown the operation of switch gears, which are currently being tested in Kazakhstan. N. Nazarbayev also got acquainted with the work of Aubert & Duval Company, which presented a project on establishment of a joint enterprise for production of titanium ingots and parts for the aerospace industry. Then the President of Kazakhstan was familiarized with a project of EADS Astrium, the Europe's biggest space company, on establishment of a complex for assembling and testing spacecraft and Land remote sensing satellites. The next project presented to Mr. Nazarbayev was a project of EADS Eurocopter for production of EC 145 multi-role helicopter in Kazakhstan. This helicopter will be used for humanitarian purposes, to prevent emergencies, as well as in oil and gas sector. The President also surveyed the results of work of Kazakh-French Center for Technology Transfer that was founded between the Kazakh Center for Engineering and Technology Transfer and French CEIS. The Kazakh-French Center for Technology Transfer was established at the initiative of presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Nicolas Sarkozy. The President studied a number of other projects as well.
