New site of railroad line Hromtau - Altynsarin put into operation

Astana. May 7. Kazakhstan Today - The new site of railroad line Hromtau - Altynsarin has been put into operation connecting the station Ayteke-bi and the Arch. The Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications press service informed the agency. According to the press service, the new railroad line connects the northern (grain) and central (industrial) regions of Kazakhstan with the western part of the country by the shortest route without use of the Russian railways. The Ministry's press service reminded that the construction of the new railroad line Hromtau - Altynsarin, the general length - 402.6 km, began in June, 2001. The cost of the construction - 33.065 billion KZT. The first starting complex of the line connecting the station Hromtau and Ayteke-bi was finished in December 2005.
