Russian, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan leaders accepted declaration

Almaty. May 14. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan leaders agreed to reconstruct the existing gas-transport system and create new capacities for gas transportation from Central Asia. The joint declaration of four leaders accepted today in Turkmenbashi states (Turkmenistan), the agency reports referring to RIA Novosti. "The Presidents of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan decided to charge the governments of Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to prepare and sign cooperation agreement of four states on reconstruction of existing gas-transport system and creation of new capacities for transportation of natural gas of the Central Asia regions till September 1, 2007," the declaration of four leaders states. According to the document, the agreement will stipulate for development of the feasibility report, the main characteristics and terms of realization of the project, joint obligations on creation of favorable conditions for its economically effective realization, including exchange gas deliveries. The declaration was signed with the purpose of development of transport capacities for deliveries to internal and foreign markets of natural gas, including according to the agreement between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on cooperation in gas industry dated April 10, 2003.
