Astana. July 2. Kazakhstan Today - The official Astana and Madrid note positive dynamics of economic cooperation of two countries, the agency reports. "Commodity turnover between our countries within a year has increased twice and exceeded $1 billion," the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said on Friday at the meeting with the King of Spain Huan Karlos I. The President also noted that 27 joint ventures with participation of the Spanish capital are registered in Kazakhstan. "Your arrival will give a new impulse to cooperation between our countries," Nursultan Nazarbayev said addressing the King of Spain Huan Karlos. According to Kazakhstan Statistics Agency, total amount of Spanish investments into the economy of Kazakhstan in 2006 made $60.2 million while Kazakhstan investments to Spain reached $27.4 million.
