Volume of currency transactions on KASE grew by 3.2 times
Almaty. July 3. Kazakhstan Today - For the first six months of 2007 volume of currency transactions at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) reached an equivalent of $40 101.0 million and grew relatively to the corresponding period of 2006 by $27 413.8 million, or by 3.16 times in a dollar equivalent. In KZT equivalent the specified turnover increased by 3.07 times, Kazakhstan Today reports referring to the message of Irbis financial news agency. The average market rate of KZT to the US dollar, developed at morning basic session at the Kazakhstan stock exchange for the period from January 1 till June 30, 2007made 123.22 KZT per dollar on all transactions on the stock exchange - 122.91 KZT per dollar. The rate of KZT strengthening to dollar at the exchange rate is estimated in current year for June 30, 2007 - 7.49 % annual. For the first six months, KZT to dollar in nominal expression has become stronger by 3.69 %. In 2006, KZT to dollar has become stronger in nominal expression by 5.06 %.
