September gold and exchange currency reserves of Kazakhstan decreased by 3.4%

Almaty. October 4. Kazakhstan Today - The International reserves of the country as a whole (in current prices), including money of the National fund (by preliminary data, $18 679.3 million), decreased by 3.4 % and made $37 103.3 million, the agency reports referring to the message of the press centre of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. Reduction of net international reserves of National Bank in September caused compression of monetary base by 2.2 % Net international reserves of the National Bank decreased by 7.96 % (or by $1592.6 million) in current prices. Operations on service of external debt of the Ministry of Finance, reduction of the balance on correspondent accounts of the banks of the second-tier in foreign currency in the National Bank and sale of currency in the internal currency market led to reduction of net foreign currency reserves (hard currency) by $1640.1 million. Actives in gold increased by $47.5 million as a result of the carried out operations and growth of its price in the world markets by 10.98 %. In real terms, net international reserves of National bank decreased by 8.7 %, net actives in hard currency - by 8.8 % and actives in gold - by 6.9 %.
