Russia plans to transport oil to China through Kazakhstan territory
Astana. November 26. Kazakhstan Today - Russia plans to deliver 5 million tons of oil each year to China through the territory of Kazakhstan. The Minister of Industry and Energy Victor Khristenko informed today at the briefing after the 11th session of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, the agency reports. "Following the results of the bilateral negotiations, the protocol on transit of the Kazakhstan and Russian oil for 2008 will be signed," the Russian Minister informed. "Transportation of Russian 5 million tons of oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to China will start for the first time within the limits of this protocol," V. Khristenko said.
