Education and Science Ministry, World Bank starts realization of Technology Commercialization Project

Astana. February 5. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan along with the World Bank starts realization of Technology Commercialization Project, the purpose of which consists in creation of the model of financing and administration of science based on the best world practice, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan. According to the press service, "the project is based on international experience, covers problems of development of science of Kazakhstan and is directed at commercialization of scientific ideas by means of granting the best infrastructure and conditions for scientists." The project "stipulates creation of the international council for science and commercialization, and intended for selection of perspective projects that will provide efficiency of the process," the message states. "The government of Kazakhstan signed the agreement with World Bank on granting the loan for the sum of $13.4 million for realization of Technology Commercialization Project on Saturday, February 2," the message informs and emphasized that "co-financing from the republican budget makes $61.6 million."
