Pensions and social benefits to be increased by more than twice by 2012 - Nazarbayev

Astana. February 6. Kazakhstan Today - Pensions and social benefits should be increased on average by more than twice. The President Nursultan Nazarbayev stated today presenting the annual message to the people of Kazakhstan, the agency reports. "The new three-year budget (2009 - 2011) should increase as compared to 2007 average sizes of pensions by 2.5 times by 2012, in 2009 - by 25 %, in 2010 - by 25 %, in 2011 - by 30 %," the President stated. N. Nazarbayev emphasized, "by 2011 the size of base pension payments should grow up by 50 %." The size of the state social benefits and special welfare payments since 2009 will annually increase on average by 9 %, monthly child care benefits till one year will be increased stage-by-stage in 2010 - 2011 up to the level exceeding the size of the payments in 2007 on average by 2.5 times. The salary of workers of budgetary sphere, according to N. Nazarbayev, will increase "by two times stage-by-stage by 2012, in 2009 - by 25 %, in 2010 - by 25 %, in 2011 - by 30 % ".
