This stage of the audit was related to the geographic expansion of certified ventures. The audit covered two ventures of LUKOIL Overseas in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Astana branch of the company and Buzachi Operating Ltd. in the Mangistau Region. 

The audit was successfully completed and no deficiencies were identified. The auditors have noted the strengths of the HSE management system in the corporate center in Moscow and operating company LUKOIL Uzbekistan. Recommendations were provided in the course of the audit regarding the further improvement of the HSE management system.

Plans of LUKOIL Overseas regarding the international HSE audit include expanding the geography of certification in 2008 to cover two more operating companies in Kazakhstan: KazakhOil Aktobe (Aktobe Region) and KarakudukMunai (Mangistau Region).
