ASTANA. February 27. KAZINFORM –The Chinese delegation, led by president of CITIC (China International Trust and Investment Corporation) Group Chang Zhenming paid a visit to the Kazakhstan Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry. Issues regarding further development of Karazhanbas oil and gas field were discussed there. It is known that Karazhanbas oil field is one of the main assets of Nations Energy Co Ltd purchased by the Chinese company at the end of 2006. The Kazakh Energy and Mineral Resources Minister set a number of tasks for CITIC Group administration, in particular, to contribute to improvement of environmental situation, participate in the development of the region’s infrastructure and solving of the social problems. Baktykozha Izmukhambetov noted that China is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan.
