Kazakhstan ready for second wave of economic crisis
Almaty. December 10. Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of Fund of National Welfare Samruk-Kazyna, Kayrat Kelimbetov, today during National Business Forum (NBF) in Almaty said that Kazakhstan was ready for the second wave of the economic crisis, the agency reports. "I think that for the government 2007 has passed quite well. The first wave of the financial and economic crisis in 2007 has slightly affected Kazakhstan. We received this first 'injection' a year ago and it could have even been for us a competitive advantage," K. Kelimbetov said. "The second wave has already begun." "There is the big financial storm in the world ... and having this happening it is hard to say that everything will be all right in Kazakhstan. Therefore, the government accepts the anti-recessionary program," K. Kelimbetov emphasized.
