ATYRAU. 19.01.2010. KAZINFORM. /Andrei Sokolov/ TengizChevroil LLP whose oil output hit a record 22.5 million tons in 2009 is planning to boost production. After 2017 oil production will increase by 12 million tons, L.Crain, GPA Deputy General Manager told Kazinform. According to her, presently the stockholders of the oil company exploring the Tengiz and Korolevskoye deposits in Atyrau region consider several variants of production expansion. After one variant of the Third Generation Project is approved and new facilities are ready, the oil output is planned to be increased by 12 million tons per year. "This will happen after 2017", Mrs. Crain noted. In 2010 TengizChevroil plans to produce 23.5 million tons of oil in Atyrau oblast.
