Czechia planning to increase export volume to Kazakhstan

ALMATY. July 31. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ - The Czech Republic is planning to increase the volume of export to Kazakhstan by USD 120 million by the end of 2007, Czech Ambassador to Kazakhstan Milan Sedlacek has stated today at a press conference in Almaty. According to the diplomat, export from Czechia to Kazakhstan in 2006 amounted to USD 109.7 million, having increased by 16.9 per cent in comparison with 2005. At the same time import from Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic has shown a growth of 72.8 per cent. Diplomatic relations between the two states were established in January 1993. 72 joint enterprises with participation of the Czech capital are currently registered in Kazakhstan. 16 representations of the Czech firms are accredited in the country. Cooperation in the spheres of tourism and education has been actively developed between the countries.
