Kazakhstan occupies first place by volume of investments in Kyrgyzstan - Charge d'Affaires ad interim of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek. April 10. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan occupies the first place by volume of investments in Kyrgyzstan among 49 foreign states-investors. The Charge d'Affaires ad interim in the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan Boranbek Albergenov informed, the agency reports. According to the diplomat, volume of investments of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan increases annually. In 2007 it made $177.9 million and in 2006 this sum totaled $136 million. "Recently, except for banking sphere, the Kazakhstan party also has expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in sharing hydro-power resources of the region by creation of joint ventures or international hydro-power consortia," B. Albergenov noted.
